VICTOR JOSEPH EDWARD CRADDOCK (1910-1913 : 20), Gunner in the Tank Corps, was the youngest son of Mr F W Craddock of Oaklands Road, Wolverhampton.  As a boy he was fond of all games, and not only took part in them himself, but was active in promoting them for others.  Though still only 15 when he left school, he became prominent in work with the Boy Scouts, and gave to that movement the goodwill and energy that were part of his nature.  Soon after the outbreak of war he left his employment at the Star Engineering Works to enter the Motor Machine Gun Service.  After much fighting in France he was transferred to the Tank Corps in November 1917, with whom he fought in many additional engagements until he met his death in action before Cambrai on November 20th 1917.
