LEONARD ALEXANDER HOOLE, Lance Corporal, 20th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, was killed at High Wood in the great Somme battle on July 20th 1916 aged 23.  He was brother to the above and with him at the school.  When war broke out he was already in training for a military career and at once enlisted in the Public Schools Battalion.  Of him, as of his brother, high commendation has been received.  On the day on which he fell he was a stretcher bearer and he was killed while succouring a wounded comrade.
