ARTHUR SIMPSON FELLOWS (1907-11 : 22), 2nd Lieutenant in the Worcestershire Regiment, was the only son of Mr & Mrs J A Fellows of Fair View, Heath Street, Stourbridge.  Articled to a firm of solicitors, he passed the intermediate examination in 1913 and was preparing for his final examination when he decided to become a soldier.  After training in the London University O.T.C and in the O.C.B at Lichfield he received a commission and in September 1916 he had reached France.  For some time he was able to send home good and cheering news, but on April 1st this year, as he led his platoon in a successful attack on a village, he was struck in the head by a bullet and instantly killed.  His Colonel, Captain and other officers have borne testimony to his bravery and high military qualities, lamenting at the same time the loss of a true man and a sterling friend.
