{"id":3428,"date":"2015-01-31T13:31:29","date_gmt":"2015-01-31T13:31:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.classtools.net\/blog\/?p=2927"},"modified":"2015-01-31T13:31:29","modified_gmt":"2015-01-31T13:31:29","slug":"wheel-of-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.activehistory.co.uk\/updates\/display-work\/wheel-of-life\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Wheel of Life&#8221; Template"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A simple, visual way to evaluate historical and literary characters from more than one perspective!<\/p>\n<p>Students choose a fictional or historical character to evaluate and write their name into the template.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Decide on at least 4, but up to 8, ways to rate your historical\/fictional character (e.g. loyalty, friendliness, intelligence, determination, tolerance \u2013 this is a discussion in itself!)<\/li>\n<li>Place a dot on each line to rate your character for your categories (10 being the best score).<\/li>\n<li>Join up the dots to produce a \u201cWheel of Life\u201d for your character.<\/li>\n<li>Explain your choice in the table overleaf.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Taking it further<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Arrange students into a continuum line, with the most positive interpretations at one end, and the most negative at the other.<\/p>\n<p>Print off the wheels of different students and arrange them in a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.classtools.net\/blog\/diamond-diagrams-for-prioritisation\/\">diamond 9 diagram<\/a> as a classroom display piece.<\/p>\n<p>Create a &#8216;physical&#8217; wheel of life by arranging eight students on the playground &#8211; each step outwards from the centre of the circle (up to a maximum of 10) for each of the categories of analysis.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Download<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/activehistory.co.uk\/updates\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Wheel_of_Life.doc\">Wheel of Life Template <\/a>(.doc).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A simple, visual way to evaluate historical and literary characters from more than one perspective!
