By doing this, I hope to challenge them out of the complacent view that modern Western society doesn&#8217;t really have a &#8216;race problem&#8217; any more and &#8211; still more provocatively &#8211; that they and their families are &#8216;above&#8217; such prejudices.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.activehistory.co.uk\/Miscellaneous\/menus\/IB\/Rights_and_Protest\/intro_to_racism.php\">This sequence of activities<\/a> provides three main tasks to help students unpack racial prejudice in their own world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Racism &#8211; A (provocative!) introduction to &#8220;Rights and Protest&#8221; Before starting study for the IB Sourcework Paper &#8220;Rights and Protest&#8221; I like to get students thinking about the concept of racism and its expression in the 21st century.
